Wish You Could Read Minds? Think Again.

    By Life-Musings.com | October 21, 2008

Do you sometimes wish you could read the minds of others?

    I know I do.

Relationships are complicated. It’s hard to know what others are thinking or feeling. It’s practically impossible to know what their true intentions are.

And things, I believe, are worse in the modern world which we live in today, where everyone is more uptight, everyone has more possessions, more to lose, and so much more to be wary and suspicious of. It gets tiring.

Now, wouldn’t it be great if we could just take a peek into the minds of the people we interact with on a daily basis?

Perhaps. But have you thought about it carefully?

Do you have any idea how noisy life is going to become? We’re never going to get a moment’s peace!

And I’m sure you have heard of the phrase, ‘ignorance is bliss’.

Now, how many times have you had a horrible first impression of someone, only to have it corrected soon after? Or, how many times have you had a really nasty thought about someone (grrr, you ugly a***hole; I’m gonna kill you!; I want to humiliate you to the maximum!; etc)?

And, are you often glad that nobody else in the world got to hear or know what you were thinking or feeling, or else they would know what a terrible person you really are?

Now, can you imagine if everyone could read your thoughts?

And how in the world do we please and satisfy everybody??

I cannot fathom how much more complicated life and relationships will become.

Maybe things are better this way.
