    For And Against Truth

    By Life-Musings.com | November 28, 2008

There have been many men who have spent their lives fighting for truth. Some just work very hard, while others have suffered and died for it.

It could be truth in a big way, or just little truths which we stand for and believe in.

After all, I once came across a quote which said that, if, in life, we have nothing worth fighting for, then perhaps we have nothing worth living for.

But, I have also come to realize, that much as there are people who give their lives for truth, there are those who spend their lives suppressing it. I find it utterly scary.

Why would people want to suppress truth?

For a multitude of reasons, really. Self-interest, greed, money, power, arrogance, ego, ignorance… All at the expense of the greater good.

    Scary.

But I take heart in the belief that, one day, truth will always prevail. Although, by then, many would have needlessly suffered or died.
